Visible and UV images of flowers Randell, B.R.
The above photographs are representative of those taken during the study. For each species, there is a colour photograph where the image on the film is created by sunlight reflected from the flower. There is a second photograph where the image on the film is created only by UV light. It shows lighted parts of the flower which reflect UV light, and dark areas which do not reflect UV - thus creating a "bulls-eye" effect.
