The Scientific Committee is a panel of practising scientists responsible for reviewing and approving all projects proposed for funding from the Foundation’s Research Fund, as required under the Income Tax Assessment Act. The Committee assesses each research proposal for scientific merit and technical feasibility, providing independent expert evaluation before any project can proceed to funding consideration.
While the Scientific Committee’s approval is a mandatory step, final decisions on which projects receive funding rest with the Council.
Members of the Scientific Committee generously give their time and expertise on a voluntary basis.
